The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Overhead Drive, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. J.A. Heffernan stated that he felt his final strike did not make contact with his mount. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.A. Heffernan was in breach of R.10.3(g) (frequency) and R.10.3 (i)(time to respond) and having considered his clean record in this regard for R.10.3 (G) (frequency) they suspended him for two racedays and in regard of R.10.3 (i)(time to respond) they suspended him for two racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kingdom Of Camelot (FR), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

W.J. Lee, rider of The Reverend (GB), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel and stumbled.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Tim Toe, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got hampered after one furlong.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Sky Captain, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered after the first furlong.

Sadhbh Tormey, rider of Eagle Fang, trained by William Durkan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount was slowly away and hung right throughout.

R.L. Moore, rider of Port Of Spain, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a false step after going one and a half furlongs.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Kingstonian (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met with interference at the top of the hill.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Light Up The Dark (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered early on.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after the start involving Chally Chute, ridden by S. Coen, Leinster, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, A Piece Of Heaven (FR), ridden by L.T. McAteer, The Reverend (GB), ridden by W.J. Lee, Tim Toe, ridden by R.P. Whelan, Sky Captain, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, Eagle Fang, ridden by Sadhbh Tormey, Cornelienne, ridden by J.A. Powell, Kingstonian (GB), ridden by N.M. Crosse, Light Up The Dark (GB), ridden by D.P. McDonogh, Zanndabad, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, and Madbadanddangerous, ridden by G.M. Ryan where it appeared several runners ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Coen stated that there was general bunching. J.A. Heffernan stated that he ran out of room. L.T. McAteer stated that he felt pressure from his outside. W.J. Lee stated that he got squeezed and clipped a heel. R. P. Whelan stated that it got very congested shortly after the start. Sadhbh Tormey stated that she was slowly away and she got tight for room. J.A. Powell stated that he felt pressure from his outside. N.M. Crosse stated that it got tight for room. D.P. McDonogh stated that there was congestion and several horses ran short of room. J.J.G. Ryan stated that he had to snatch up. G.M. Ryan stated that it got very tight for room. J.M. Sheridan stated that he was following J.A. Heffernan and the horses in front came back on to him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider due to lack of adequate footage and therefore took no further action.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Reverend (GB), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Valiancy, trained by William Haggas (in GB), at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired from S.T. McCullagh, rider of Uxmal who fell on the flat shortly after turning into the home straight. The rider reported that his mount sustained an injury and fell independently of any other runner. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

J.S. Dalton, rider of Supreme Act, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount wandered around from the two furlong mark.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. H.T. Hynes, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that J.S. Dalton, rider of Supreme Act, had weighed in 1.3lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he felt dehydrated and drank water after weighing out. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.S. Dalton was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record (second offence), they suspended him for two racedays. Furthermore, they ordered that J.S. Dalton liaise with the Senior Medical Officer regarding his minimum riding weight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Chipsrdown, trained by Andrew Slattery, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from the IHRB Clerk of the Course to move the starting stalls to the stand side for races one, three, four, five and seven due to operational reasons.
